THE TRUE MISS

While the international contest Miss Universe was broadcasted live on television in Chile, people simultaneously listened to La Verdadera Miss (The True Miss) presented by El Ciudadano Newspaper. 

La Verdadera Miss is the first ever beauty contest to be broadcast on radio, in which listeners heard candidates but could not see them. This bold and innovative beauty pageant knocked down societal prejudices about physical perfection and beauty because real beauty lies in things the eyes cannot see. La Verdadera Miss had 25% more listeners than Miss Universe had viewers!
